Rent controls may deter investment in Scotland’s private rented sector
The Scottish government’s proposal to introduce permanent rent controls to protect tenants concerned about rent increases will not sufficiently address the issues facing the private rented sector, as it may potentially deter billions of pounds worth of investment into building new homes.
